Hi Claude, Railways always catch my eye, they're fascinating as there's so much going on...
I think B&W is a good choice, but mainly because I don't think the colour version adds much.
The thing that bothers me a bit is the flare on top, followed by the contrast of the dark shadow under the bridge. As there's already a lot going on in this image with the lines created by the various poles and tracks, I think the bridge (and it's shadow) are more of a distraction than an addition.
I believe, that if you crop this photo just below the shadow of the bridge, it would have the largest impact, but that's just me.... Good shot!
Cheers,
Hugo

Nice shot Claude, I would've cropped out the black at the base though, so your frame is full of Colour. Well spotted all the same, not that one could miss it lol.

I think this is one of your BEST shots so far Mate. Worth taking out that bit of dirt/fluff in the bottom right quarter with PS, then it would be almost perfect. Well done.

This is a SHITE photo quite literally lol. Just kidding mate! It looked to me like I was back home in Cornwall (Kernow), looking down in a field at a rather large and crusty "Cow Pat". Nice shot, but I agree with Eb, some tweaking needed on the colour enhancement and "Curves" in PS. Keep it up matey! Thx for the mention in your Intro too Bro'. ;-)

not a lot really basically its two shots of the location layered together.
hopefully the picture attached will help.ill try and keep it simple. ive found when trying to stich two images together it is far better to take two shots of the same location . 1ST take a shot of the lower foreground and then raise the camera higher and making sure you have the same lowest point of the horizon in the frame.this allows you to merge two shots very effectively without to much haze/halo effect in the result. basically when shooting the image do this with this in mind.the end result is cleaner and more effective and offers impact when using a wide angle. hope this helps its far easier to do than explain. brian

This is very well seen, Claude! I like the B&W tones created by the low angle filtered light. Overall, the sculpting created gives a pleasing sense of depth. Well done! Eb

I see you too are serious about bark texture! Good crop with interesting circular patterns. I do recommend more saturation for the greens and sharpening for greater definition. Nice work! Eb

kind of look at this way you know what you want from a shot and it doesnt hurt to take shots with what you can do later to bring out the features .sometimes we dont have the pefect light around us to get a great all round shot.anyway hope it gave you some thought.

claude can i suggest to use a technique of layering a another cloud shot ,i see in your porto that u have some interesting cloud shots .has you ps it shouldnt be too much trouble to blend in with the horizon point. see my portofolio on here to get some idea of what you can do with a bit thought and patience!.
