I like your treatment of this portrait very much. The stark contrast between black and white work very well to make this a dramatic image.
Thanks for commenting on my portrait.

Beautiful colors and texture. I especially like the yellow at the centre -- it looks like the flower is lit from within.

Wonderful shot. The leaves are perfectly formed and shaded with slightly different colors that complement each other very well. I'd have chosen not to centre them so much, but it's still a very beautiful picture.

Fascinating shot. He really does look intent on finding food. Good thing you didn't get any closer. We've had some unfortunate bear-human encounters up here in Canada recently.

Wonderful detail on the wings. The feathers are so three-dimensional, thanks to great use of light and shadows. The poor little guy looks cold, though. :-)

I love the waterfall itself -- the water looks so silky. I agree with others that a little more contrast in the surrounding rock would be nice. I prefer the horizontal orientation -- in the vertical shot, the falls are too centered for my taste. However, I think I would crop the horizontal shot just a little tigher.
It's still a wonderful shot.

Love the expression on his face -- even thought I had to twist my head around to see it. :-) I like the high contrast -- gives the picture a very dramatic flair that well suits the unusual subject. Not your average kitty shot. Well done.

This is a great waterfall shot. You get a very strong sense of the motion of the water -- not least because of the expression on that poor guy's face. There's NO doubt he's deluged.
