All this time I've been buying lenses to improve my pictures. And the answer has been right under my nose... Spaghetti! Jokes aside, this is an interesting and original idea. I would have guessed it was a closeup of some kind of sea-creature had you not told me. Seven for sure.

The coloring in this is great, and the droplets are in perfect focus. Interesting framing too. Everything looks like it's raining down from the top of the picture. Extra points for capturing this on a camera without much manual control! It takes some skill to "trick" those things into focussing on what you want them to, especially with near-macro shots.

This makes me miss the ocean. Looks like you caught this at just the right time.

Wow this is close. Is it a crop or is this full frame?

Everyone who has the lens to do it must take at least one. I think it's actually a law of some kind. The droplet is perfect. I especially like the little image of the tiles visible in the drop. The faucet head looks like a bit of an afterthought though. I don't know if the picture would look as good without it, but it seems out of place somehow.

How do people get these really nice contrasty b/w photos (like this one) without blowing out all the highlights or dimming the dark bits too much?

The grain in the uploaded image is kind of hurtful. I don't know if that came from the original shot or not. Depending on how the color/sharpness in the original looked, this could be a neat picture. If this is the original and you're using a digicam that has the option, crank the ISO way down and the grain will go away.

Unusual to see one of those the subject of a portrait. We should move them all off the street into dimly lit galleries as an...art project...Can't be fined if it's art... Seriously though, the sharpness and harsh metal textures in the parking meter contrast really nicely with the reflections in the background. A good photo where not too many people would think to look for one.

The angle really suits this for some reason. Also the boat came in fairly sharp. was this shot at full tele? And was it fairly sunny or overcast? I'm considering getting the lens you used so I'm interested in finding out how it performs.
