This is a wonderful image with a very fitting title. I love the pastels in this image, they give it an overall feeling of peace, this could use a tad of noise reduction, but other then that it is beautiful!

Ahhh - so he was willing with resistance. I love how you can see caution in his eye but that he doesn't look too scared. Very nice shot - they are so cool.

You are right about the digital advantage Cheryl....I am still using a film camera but i am desperetly trying to get my hands on a D70 or D100.Apart from the film and developing expenses a quality loss is inevitable during the scanning of the film.Also you end up wasting too many exposures in film.
And the compliment i gave you is well deserved for you.Thanks a ton

Thanks Rohit - the way I shoot was taught to me by a good friend in Denmark - he told me to "get down" on the subjects level. I also tend to fill the screen with thier face (though now I leave more room for darn 8x10 photos but crop them for web photos). I take so many photos in a session that you are bound to get one good one. I also experiment with different angles and lighting to see what I like. Thank the lord for digital - instant feedback and no expense for trashed photos. My biggest thing is to NOT have them face the camera - I don't tell them what to do, with kids it's so obvious when they are posed because they get nervous and stiff.

Hi Rohit, that is for "Karma" - that score is generated from commenting on peoples photos, participating in the forums and shuch. Not sure exactly how it scores, but that's what I've gathered so far.

I absolutely adore your ability of bringing things to life thru the lens and ur portrayal of the human emotions,especially children.....wish i could take such intense pictures.....you ppl are god for novices like me.
