Hi Tim, this a fabulous composition. I looked long and hard to find a point of criticism, but I honestly can't. great DOF, details, framing and lighting. maybe the snow could be a little whiter, but that's really extreme nitpicking. stunning work. congratulations.

thanks klaus. the grain comes from the negative scan at my photolab. i tries removing them on PS, as well as neatimage, but in both cases, i found a lot of detail was being sacrificed. thanks again for your comment.

hi emanuele, what a fabulous shot! it works for me at two levels. first, the physical aspect, i can almost see the moment in teh future when the weight of the bow will make the ship lean forward and dive into the waters below. secondly, the striking state of delapidation of what must have been a glorious ship at some point of time in the past. wonderful composition.

hi mark, nice burnt out effect. i like the saturaed blues and the desolate feeling the treatment brings to the shot. my only grouse (small one), is i wish the houses closest to teh camera were more in focus.
