I do prefer this version over the previous one dear, it is a very sensitive picture, moody although melancholic.... well done!

Thanks Jan, it's too kind from you. I appreciate your kind words. Honestly, I thought a lot about the crop. Previously I uploaded a tighter cropped one ( http://www.usefilm.com/image/833878.html ) but yeah I feel the tighter crop would be just an arranged portrait where we might loose the sense behind the shot.
all the best, Maryam

Maryam -- This is an interesting expression of emotion and I like the way you have portrayed it. The shiny floor, the discarded flower and the curious bug all go into making this a fascinating photograph. My first reaction to examining the picture was to think that it should be cropped more tightly but when I looked at it again I feel you cropped it just right. The background is not distracting and instead enhances the mood.
Well done.
--Best regards, Jan

yeah, exactly Vijay, I can remember the 7 times walking around. That's really interesting. To be honest, there were so many rituals going on over there and I was completely new to all these concepts. even though I tried my best not to misunderstand anything, it seems I missed something. Thanks for your nice and complete explanation my friend :)
all the best,
Maryam

good shot, Hindu is not a religion its way of living life, one has liberty to choose ones faith and beliefs. It belives that life revolves and consists of 5 basic elements which are
water earth sky fire wind.

If u attend a hindu wedding, there are 5 ceremonies worshipping this elements.

At end whnen groom is supposed to give sacred neclace to bride both of them walk around this fire for 7 times(7 times cause in earlier days only 7 planets in solar system were considered) and Fire represents Sun source of energy for us.

So its like keeping all of them as wintnesses and then they promise they will support each other forever and ask for there blessings in journey thereafter.

yeah ... poverty is a total disaster over there... Indeed the story is even darker than this ... kinda out of imagination and really impossible to be captured by lens, cheers, Maryam

Exactly… you are right Jan, We were really lucky especially while we didn't know rainy seasons are total disaster in this area. We just made it without any thinking about such these matters. However, it is just a bright day-to-day view of the poor people living over there. The story of their every day life is indeed so embarrassing and not really possible to be captured...
