This is wonderful! I love the movement of the birds in the midst of the city's urban landscape. Great capture.

Hi James. I actually took the shot with my 35mm, processed the film, scanned, inverted and enlarged the negative. I use the sun to expose the enlarged negative onto the dried absorbant paper that was brushed with the cyanotype chemicals. Water is used to rinse.

It's a very old photographic process that artists used before the darkroom was invented.

What is your email address again? I had previously written, but didn't get a response. Do you mind if I write?

Love the delicate and soft gradiation in the lower portion of the image, then blue and a hard black seperated by contrasing white. Looks like a painting. Quite lovely.

And the self portrait is gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful.

Thanks Adriana. Indeed it is sad and I am still grieving. Glad that I took some photos of her before she passed. She was a very kind and loving companion.

A nice capture of urban culture. To me the bluriness gives this cool effect of train movement.

This shot reminds me of something that you would find in a collection of old school street photography. Classic image.

Check this guy out if/when you get the chance. He was a mid-century photojournalist for Life magazine and one of my favorites - Andreas Feininger...

Hey Girlie, Thanks for the info and the comment. I've been busy lately with my new pup, so I haven't been playing on this site.

Will you write me already?!

Excellent shot, though I think it would be more interesting if you somehow intensified the path between the hills a bit. Right now it's hard to detect unless you look the image really closely. It would appear more as if you are narrating a type of journey toward the ocean. But then again, that may not have been what your intentions were when you took this shot

I love the brightness of the sun glistening on water.

My goodness, H. This is absolutely beautiful. Really. Quite mysterious and sensual at the same time. And I don't think that it would have the same effect if it weren't for the grain and contrast. I wouldn't change a thing. Excellent work!

Thank you, Rodrigo. Yes, the unsharpness is due to it being a scanned negative and low resolution.
