Very Mondrian-esque. I like the way the model is posed in juxtaposition with the art. Good one.

As a person who has worked as an art director, and as a person who loves good commercial images, I must say that this is one of the best potential commercial shots on the site. The kid has a face meant to be on magazine ads or commercials! Nice job, mom.

What a nice silhouette shot against a painterly sky. Very pleasing.

To me, this is a 7! I think you have captured the essence of solitude, and I would love to hang this in my home.

What a crisp and telling shot. I think you got a mother's pride, and rightfully so. Good work.

Angelo... the pigeon didn't stay long, but there were plenty of other statues in the vicinity to visit, and I imagine he had to be off to one of them! It was a nice day to be flying, I am sure.

Thanks for omitting color on this shot. The tonalities are all we need to appreciate the scene. Simple and sweet.

This is what my grandfather's hands looked like toward the end of his life after working in the oilfields of Texas as a wildcatter. Thanks for bringing back the memory.

Very interesting shot. I like the fact that I can hear the bass line in my head as I look at this visual. It tells a simple, sweet story.

This is a striking looking portrait of a man who looks as though he understands what hard work is all about.

Wow! That shot is fantastic, Colin. I ran out of time to get to La Defense, thinking that I would return to Paris this summer and go then. However, now it is not looking hopeful that I will return anytime soon. I guess that goes to show that we have to grab opportunity when we can and not ever put it off to tomorrow.

This is a lovely shot of the toucan. I really admire the area of the world that you are shooting in. It must be fun!

I would love a bigger file! Send to harmandl@lisd.net - it would be a privilege to have this shot as it is one of my favorites.

This is the type of shot that is truly artistic to me... I think that the framing of the rock by the tree is superb. I like the understanding of Photoshop technique that is evident in your explanation of the shot.

Actually, I did - although I know that it would be traditional to align the bridge with the bottom of the frame, I wanted to include more of the boat in the bottom left of the frame and it did not really need to be a traditionally aligned shot for me to feel happy with it. I know that it may feel off-kilter to some, however. Thank you for your comments, and I appreciate your question.

This is not something that I saw while I was in Paris this past spring! The tour had golden light that night... so this is great to see! Thanks for the great shot.

I really like this image. It caught my eye more than any other on the page and it is striking now that it is enlarged. I love all of the color, and it does seem to be very artfully cropped.

Very nice shot. I saw the same sight on a different night with a different sky. This shot is difficult to achieve, and you did a wonderful job. I know the boat moves faster than you would like!
