It does have a feel of spring about it, lovely sharp detail and pretty colours,
Chris.

One of my favourite flowers is this lily. You've captured this with excellent exposure on those whites and a lovely DOF. Razor sharp details showing all the delicate veins and fine ripples on the petal edges. Beautiful colours. I've heard reds are the hardest colour to photograph but yours show beautifully here. A lovely image Jan and a pleasure to view.

Cheers - Ann

Great Detail on this. Like the shadow play cast on the petals and the crop really works here.

All 3 are really nice today Jan. The macro is working well for you I see... ) I especially like this one with the super tight crop. You picked up the detail in the white nicely. Great job.

Beautiful Jan! I spotted Rob's influence right away before I read your about. Bet you're having lots of fun! Now just make sure he gets the 5D, so he can leave the lens with you!

Wow that is outstanding! I think the crop is great if the stamen had been at an angle I would have gone with a corner crop. Nice job Jan.

Good show my friend. I had your white dahlia shot as my wallpaper today and I was admiring it thinking gosh that's a stunning flower. Then I looked and saw it was yours, surprised me.
Keep in touch Jan.

A good DOF you've used to capture this trio of soft reds here. Nice control of the lens in what appears to be a difficult situation with shallow depths to consider. Super focussing on the centres of the outer 2 subjects. The composition looks great as the trio curve slightly around the yellow foreground flower giving the image a nice flow. A lovely image Jan.

Cheers - Ann

Thanks Mary - really appreciate the recent comments you made on my rose series and other shots. Sure have missed seeing new uploads from you. Perhaps now that things are sort of settled down here as UF, and the holiday crunch is over, we can get some free time and start taking photos, uploading, and commenting again. Jan

Darlene - I can be jealous too - didn't grow these roses - this was taken at the Rose Garden at Glendale, AZ Saguaro Ranch Park. LOL. Rob is here for a week, and am having fun playing with that Canon 60 mm Macro lens he brought. May even get around to uploading a few practice shots. Jan

Great angle. Theses roses do appear as tall as the palm trees.

Excellent DOF.
