it is actually better now. the water is still polluted (i would ot eat anything caught in the laeks and rivers around here) but people are more conscientious and there is less of garbage like that on the shores. so things are looking up, i guess.

What a pity when nature gets destroyed by mankind, also by littering. Great photo with strong contrast.

This is a effective bit of photojournalism. Your picture captures the blight of this lake quite clearly. Particularly effective is the contrast between the brightly coloured bottle caps and the gray hues of all the natural stuff. Somehow it doesn't seem right that the most colour in this scene comes from man-made garbage and that realization gives the picture its impact (at least in my opinion).

This ia quite the unique perspective . . . I like the composition and the choice to present it in Black & White. The slow shutter speed was a big help in the textures too. Nicely done.
