I liked it too. I was ready to dump this shot with many others that were shot hand held at night when something drew me into the shot. The "Effect" was not done in PS, just a accident in shooting.

Thank you so much for your kind comment. Not the usual macro, but a nice windmill pattern.

It's for real. I have a lot of wildflowers in my yard and this one popped up in my path. I tried to capture it's strength, against the odds, type thing.

Thanks for your kind comment. I pass this every day on my way to work. I always liked the shark biting a corona in half. The restaurant is next door to a flower shop in what we call "Little Salvador" part of town near Vermont and Beverly in L.A.

Thanks for your kind comment. No, it is not a shooting star but just the contrail from a jet. It is in the flight path for Los Angeles International Airport

Thank you for you comment. I am sorry I did not get the name of the hotel. Maybe one of the internet street maps might identify it. It is very close to the marine museum and Long Beach Arena.

I was fortunate to get a shot before all the people showed up. I particulary like the way the carpet pattern mimics the architecture. It reminded me of the arched covered plazzas in Naples. A complimentary weekend stay would be greatly appreciated ;-)

Some times photographs is all that we have to remember the past. The sample about with The Pike is all too common in So Cal.

Thank you for you comment. I was fortunate to get such a clear day so early in the morning to get such a nice blue sky.

This was taken just 3 days before the Griffith Park Fires. That whole hill was ablaze. I have some nice shots of that but they need to be cleaned up a bit before I can post. The bright lights on the hill to the left is the Griffith Observatory. The bright light on the right is the cross from Forest Lawn.

My preference has probably more to do with seeing it as a young child and nostalgia than anything else. The same could be said for so many films made from successful books. More unusual for a film to be better than the book.

Thanks, this might be missed by many because it isn't flashy in the thumbnail. I like the dreamyness and tones and converging lines. Also, taken while driving, hand held.

The 1953 version, of course. I was very disappointed with the Speilberg remake. I expected much better from him.

Thanks, shot on a whim. Didn't expect much as I was driving when I took the shot. I did a little cleanup of a few blurred spots, but not bad for hand held in a moving car.

I am usually so far behind in posting in relation to the time taken that my photos are often out of sync with the seasons. Today I had to try and get them processed as soon as possible. I am fortunate to be in a location where we have flowers all year round and spring comes month before many other places. Take care as I know Canada has some beautiful springs.

I like your border. It is very close to the sky color that day. I tried to catch a few with the sky as a backdrop but it was very difficult and did not come out well. Yours is a nice compomise. Blue and yellow complements each other so well.

It's not often I can catch something like this, this clear and well framed from my car. I am glad you enjoyed this.
