Very loving photographs. Would thank for your commentary to the picture > Amarilis <. The background of the picture is a cut out of a painting on silk. Regards Gerhard

Thanks for your comment on my RainStar Jonathan - I see from your portfolio a familiar inventiveness.

On the subject of frames (re. Judi's comment): yes, but it depends where you will display the image. I do agree that on Usefilm, if the image has extensive light tones towards the edges it should be framed, but that is not the case here. My own preference is to avoid frames as much as possible. On the other hand, Judi is a far better photographer than I am...

Good capture of an every day item. But you have put it into a frame of art. Well done.

Wonderful Photograph Jonathan, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. I use Paintshop Pro and Photoshop. Paintshop Pro is about $100 Photoshop CE is $500+ The is a Photoshop elements fro about $99. To me Paintshop Pro is easier to use and most of my work is done with this. Feel free to look at my stuff...

Thanks for sharing,
Peter Daniel

It has a kind of Monet quality to it. still, I think it could use a little boost in contrast.

Nice repitition of shape and pattern and a wise inclusion to add the different coloured candle to break up the pattern and add a focal point of interest. Thanks.

I think you did right cropping it like this, it's almost like its a ancient monolith and the way it drags the eye up the picture to the moody sky works well. Captured a great range of colours and tones too. Nice work!

Raining in Wales...Never! ;-)....Great picture though, love the colour and the reflections are superb, what was the water collecting in? My favourite part is where the circles cross each other to make segmented patterns. Nice abstract, thanks.

Nice photo although I think the rock which is the focal point takes up to much of the photo. Nice scene and good detail.

It's overexposed...
When taking pictures of animals, it is good to be in the height of their eyes. Of course you wouldn't make this photo that way - but take it as a recommendation
