David
I am being picky now but there is a strange pixelation to the image. Possibly the light and maybe the reflection of the light.
What program do you use to reduce the size of the image to post on Usefilm.
It reminds me of some images I had that I reduced in a program called "Photo Resizer".
I currently use Photoshop to reduce the size.
The other images except for one are ok so maybe it is the reflection.

An Airbus is the aircraft name for all airliners made by Airbus Industries in Europe . This particular aircraft was operated by Jetstar Airlines , a low cost carrier in Australia , much the same as Southwest Airlines in the US .The round trip fare for the 1000 mile flight was about $150 US ..I fly as a pilot , so I will post some shots from light aircraft in the coming days ..

Awckward question I suppose..just curious if the city runs it , all about it .

Bruce ,
The camera was "rested" on a fence . The exposure was 1/4s at f3.2 . I think it more luck than judgement that it turned out the way it did . There certainly no shortage of subject matter that night , the lightning was almost constant .

Use a tripod?
How long was the exposure?

Bruce .... Thank you for your kind comments . I do feel that at times we all should look skywards and give praise and thanks for all we share . I know I do . There are certain contradictions and contrasts which radiate all around us . I was lucky to be there when nature presented itself that day .

David, this photo tells me of a clash of the industrial world with the natural world that your maker made. Also the materialistic capitalist world against the non materialistic spiritual world.
Your photo is one big statement.

What wonderful, wonderful light. The kind of light that makes a photographer look up to the heavens and say thanks! Its quality highlights the logos on the planes and gives them a symbolic resonance. The rainbow is fantastic in that it echoes the curve of the red logo in the background. The overall feel of this photograph is fantastic.

Population: 900,000. Tourists: 400,000. Well, I suppose if they all arrive via this plane from Sydney it might just about be a viable service...

Whatever, it's a nice shot caught at just the right moment. Nice to see there are still airports around the world where you can get a view of the planes without interference from intrusive fences.

I've been at that exact spot Dave - fishing! Memories (back in sunny Scotland now!) V nice shot. Love the tranquility of the foreground against the rough sea.

Thanks for your comment on my Gt Barrier Reef shot. Cheers, Jo

Think I'll pass on the dip....it's just a touch too cold at the moment, lol.
Great composition, that water looks like glass, it would be a shame to disrupt it.
