Thanks Maryanne, glad you liked the sunrise. I only wish I had a tripod so I could have shot at 1/30 instead of handheld at 1/60. How do you like your D 50? I haven't had mine too long put I really love it.

Thanks for your comments. I definetly use a tripod, but I just use the 2 second delay timer on the shutter. The moon was very bright with clear sky, so I tried a number of different shutter speeds until I got the clarity and detail I wanted. best wishes,
