Thanks for the comment, Ned. I haven't bothered about the hood (although I wanted one when I bought the lens but they didn't have stock) - the lens gets so little flare anyway, so it?s not a real problem if the lens is clean (I am now glad I didn't get the hood). With a polarizer it can get a bit of flare. I generally shoot with a tripod, so it is relatively easy to block the sun with my hand if I am getting flare; otherwise in those circumstances one can just remove the polarizer. The hood may give limited protection in certain cases, but I don?t think it will eliminate it - not as effectively as ones hand...

Nice wide view with interesting foreground.
Thanks for your comment on my "One More Apple Pls".

mmmmm .. how do you like the 10-22mm lens?
I've been thinking of adding it to my gear.
Actually, I've been to the Canon agent, here, but they didn't have the UV and hood for the lens. I don't think it's a good idea to have such a wide lens without a hood to protect the images from flare. What do you think?

regards,
ned

Wonderful landscape, Bryan. The light mist gives a unique touch, I also like the panoramic format.

It alleviates a bit my feeling of disgust, Bryan They look like creeping out of a horror film.

Regards, Markus and don't take it too serious;-)

Your first attempt works well Bryan....nicely detailed and the long exposure adds softness with the water

Incredible composition again: all these rocks leading the eye so well into the picture.
The B&W tones are perfectly chosen and the sharpness is outstanding.

Another very good attempt, Bryan. Nothing to criticize!
Perfect composition here too: on the one hand the rocks that seem to explode into all directions, on the other the softness of the water...outstanding contrast!!

Perfect occasion for wide angle for total dof and the strong shadow in f.g. Fine work, shooting into the sun and getting so much color and clarity. Nice shot.
