Interesting shot, you could crop from the grass on up in other owrds just keep the sand and make a poster out of it...

Thanks for your comment, I get so few it's nice to get one now and then. I guess it's like everyone of these sites you have to build up a base of friends who will comment. I used a 20mm stacked on a 36mm Kenko extention tube. It was a lot cheaper than a macro lens.

Great shot and wonderful, I also have the D70 and like it more every day. What kind of post processing did you do?? The sky color is very nice. I typically find Nikon blue a little flat and steely even to some degree with a polarizer...
