Not too keen on this photo. Shadows and lighting good. I wish it was a little warmer and more in focus. But good composition, nice lines.

I struggle too when the camera need more light. I think no flash is often better but it is tricky to get the image sharp sometimes. Still life images are best - I am severely tried by the indoor soccer images!

Thank you Reynaldo! This picture was taken this past April just after Sunrise on a lake that is near my home. I was in a Bass boat fishing when I captured this view. The object in the bottom left is a electric motor that is mounted on the front of my Bass boat to slowly maneuver the boat while fishing.

Hi, Joe. I loved this pictures. This lake or river is just beautiful. You got it in the right moment. It seems a painting in thumbnail. I wonder what is that at bottom left. Great photograph. Thanks for visiting my page.

I had the same problem, but I moved the lighting to where it was coming down on the bottle and glass. Its a little better, but still working on it. Hope you don't mind me adding a small pic, so you can see what I mean. Angie

Hi Joe, This one is 100 times better than the other photo. Lighting is greatly improved and in my opionion the placement of the glass and bottle are much much better as well.

Try using a natural light source from a window and turn on the on board camera flash. Try to take it a a lower angle so you only see the bottle and glass and the backdrop.

The on-camera flash created a very distracting glare on the glass-ware, Joe. You would have done better without the flash.

Hi,Corrie, thank you for the comment! No ,I did not wipe out on the steps,I was inside looking out onto the deck thru the Patio door. It was very slick,we now have about 1/2 inch of Ice on every thing ,with about 1 inch of sleet on top of that. Weather forcast is for 4 to 6 inches of snow to night. Will not be going anywhere tomorrow. JOE

Ron,I used a tripod, set the lights, planed the pose, steppedin front of the camera and my wife clicked the shutter. Maybe a self-portrait is alittle missleading, maybe more like a 3/4 self portrait. I am a portrait artist[oil painting] and used the photo to paint a self-portrait ,which I have not done to my satisfaction so will do it over.
