Great picture! I like the little head peeping over the edge of its nest! Though I miss the contrast a little bit: because the colours are about the same the head isn't really in the center of attention. Despite of that I really like this picture!

well congratulations on your new canon. your composition is very good, but i think you need to increase the saturation little bit in post production for all your digital pics. i have to do the same for 10d. it will do wonders for your pics. my best wishes.
