Well I don't know the rest of your 04 images but this one's amazing for the expressions, light, colors, composition, focus and depth of focus, cropping (it's 35mm). Very well done!

Jose Azevedo

Hello Omar, I like the mood & tone of this photograph. Nice thirds by placing subject to right of frame & giving her the room to gaze @. The flora is perfectly placed between buildings, I do echo's Mia's comment regarding the spot, if it can't be removed in the negative I'd do so in PS. The technique you used during the process is called "Split Filtered", I too am still printing in the darkroom & do the same from time to time as well as toning traditionally (Wet). Warm congrats for the award, best wishes.

How truly odd that it took this long. When I left it, it just disappeared into computerland someplace. I note that you won awards for this image and I congratulate you!

Hi Mia, I?m not sure why but your comment only appeared in my inbox this week! I appreciate very much that you took the time to look at my image and make such thoughtful comments. I readily admit that I am a newcomer to printing and it is very helpful for me to receive feedback from people like you who have so much more experience. I am still trying to figure out philosophically how much alteration I ought to do to the image. On the one hand I do like the spontaneous feeling that comes from a shot with some irregularities but then I do appreciate that an image is nothing if not the concrete projection of an inner vision that need not be a mere replica of the world as the eye sees it. I will take your advice and continue to study the works of the great masters. Unfortunately, my work does not permit me to spend nearly as much time as I would like with photography, so it may be that I may never attain perfection! Omar

Well, Omar, this is a wonderful photo. The Rollei is certainly a wonderful camera, and the BMW is obviously terrific. I compliment you especially on the toning--just right to my eye. Give an extra growl for me as you pass those cell phone junkies. ;-) Regards, --George

Hi Omar,
this sounds like a strange deal... and a deal that doesn't happen very often. so probably? Yes! =)
good work here. some lights are blown out, but the grainy sepia look adds to the scene.
well done.
best wishes, Thilo

Perfect avaiable light used in diagonal line for enhance the feeling of "oldness" and "hope" to the life. it's a quiet conceptual shot that tells a heavenly story. composition and monochroma is helpful for your purpose. bravo Omar!
