Fantastic. If I ever want to look at quality bird shots it's your portfolio I look up. Have you got any with Stock agencies yet or are you still just doing it for fun? They look good enough to make you some cash to me. Great work as always.

Yes. It's part of a fairy outfit she was wearing! She wasn't overly happy posing so I didn't mess around too much with fine detail. I ought to play more with Photoshop than I do but my skills are still fairly basic for now. Thanks for your comment.

Nice portrait. I like it being offset with the background knocked out. Good emotion. Like it. Good portfolio too.

Beautiful shot Judi. I love the colours and the difference in texture from the grass and the sky. Really good shot. Well done.

Nice crop. I appreciate that. The pole was distracting. I haven't cropped too tightly on many shots yet, but looking at that it can certainly strengthen the overall image. Thanks for taking the time.

Love this shot. Very cool. It's been a long time since I looked at so many photos by the same person and had to ask myself so many times, 'Just how did he do that?'. You have a truly wonderful portfolio. Great stuff..... so.... How did you do that?!?

Beautiful scene. Well taken. I notice you've been playing with IR recently in your portfolio. You've got some nice work there. It's an area I want to play with later this year. I also really like your Macro shots. I'm going to have to come back when I have more time to wade through properly!

Nice shot. I've just spent a little while looking through your portfolio and it really does all evoke an earlier era. I really enjoyed looking through. I'm up in North Wales 2 or 3 times a year, usually based in Porthmadog so I've stood on the Cob a fair few times myself. A lovely part of the world, and you've done a great job capturing it. Well done.

Aaaah, sorry. My mistake. Too tired to think straight. I think it was something like F2.8 @ 1/750th maybe a little faster. Not on my own comp right now so I can't check, but something like that.

I had it set on 'A'. I wanted F2.8 to keep DOF narrow to focus solely on individuals I was shooting, and with as fast a shutterspeed as I could get to freeze everything. I'm curious as to what you mean? How would you have shot it differently? What sort of look would you have gone for? I always welcome input.

I had been using a 70-300mm g f4-5.6. It's ok as a lens in reasonable light but, in winter dullness, for sports it was useless. 80-200 f2.8 is incomparable. Excellent lens. I've got a few rugby shots taken on the 70-300 in my portfolio. You can see the difference. The shutter speeds were so slow, really difficult to get decent shots.

1/500th @ F5.6

Difficult but good fun. First time I'd tried for them but it was in October, very late in their season, so I'm looking forward to having another go this year.

nikon 105mm macro? I've got to get my hands on one of those!!! Unbelievable detail. Fantastic Macro. Unfortunately my bank balance won't stretch that far. Maybe a Sigma for now instead! Great shot Bob, and a decent portfolio. Very well done.
