The range of colors in this photo is just beautiful. I love how the trees have green leaves and the fallen leaves are red. The balance of the water and the trees is perfect. Beautiful compostion. 7+!

Hmmm... so the purple areas must be sky. Did this shot involve camera motion then? A rotation?

You make a very good point.
I recall once though, when I was trying to emulate a particular technique I just couldn't remember how I did it the first time. I lack good memory hehehe.

Nice work Stjepan! I think that the process you've done here has potential. Play with it a little more, and make sure that you're creating "actions" so that you can always repeat the process at an instant.
Once more, nice work mate!

Yeah, that's true. I suppose soon enough someone will write filters so that we can process a RAW image as though it were x, y, or z film, a sort of film emulating filter-set.

James, just compare shots from some prosumer digital camera on one side and some dSLR on the other side...and you will see that "in camera" shots from prosumer typicaly have much more impact and much stronger colors... This is because prosumer camera is for amateur that don't know much about photography and also don't know much about processing. So they made it to fit on most peoples taste... On the other side dSLR is camera that is target at semiprofessional or professional market and they just need to make photo material that is good suited for every motive that is possible... It need to be flat and somehow washed out and also not sharpened at all... In old film days you will never shot portrait with Velvia emulsion because it is too much saturated and too much contrasty for portraits... You will take film that is best suited for motive that you intend to shot... For landscape this is Velvia, for portraits Provia, Sensia bla bla bla, etc etc... :) With digital, you can not exchange film so it need to be completely neutral in camera... :)

Kristen... I don't know islan that have name Kali... Probably you spell it wrong or it is so small island... We call our country "land with thousent islands" :) So it is imposible for me to know every name... :) Thanks for your words! You are rigt! I love my country very much. We have realy hard history in last 900 years, and espetialy in last 100 years and that is why many people go to live in other part of this planet (almost half Croat is not at home land at moment). Sure, I want to see other countries (I was in Australia also, beautiful land! :)) but never wanted to live anywhere other then in my place... :)

Thank you for all of the information. Keep up the great work. I will have to investigate more of what you say about the in-camera colors being neutralized (flat). I typically leave my luxagraphic shots unmanipulated.

Hi Stjepan! I completely love this photo, I love the mood, colours, everything, but what I love most of all is your willingness to share with us all how this wonderful landscape was shot! I am passionate about photography but also a little overwhelmed at times, as I am only fairly new to it. I lived with a Croatian family for about 6 years and the father used to share stories of how beautiful his island of Kali (hope I spelt that right) is... now am beginning to wonder why anyone would want to live anywhere else!!!

Thanks for your comment James :) Not much about color...just minor tweaking and ordinary work that every digital raw file needs...much more work was done to save shadows because there was more then 3 stop different in brightnes... It was ND Grad 0.3 and 0.6 on the lense and still need shadows/higlight tool in photoshop to save details... About color...you know that every "in cammera" digital file is somehow flat and need boosting. That is normal and that is because they do in cammera processing neutral as much as possible... Let say that simmilar shot and colors would be if this is shot on Velvia RVG emulsion... I have almost the same colors (even more nice) on slide that I shot same time there but with Mamiya RZ67 on Velvia slide...unfortunately contrast was too much and shadow details is lost on slide... :(
