Good choice I reckon, all that paint and profile speaks well enough for your dancer and there's something contrasty between the romantic ideals in the front and the background work. I get a lot from this picture (may work in black and white), I suspect somethings missing to balance the back more but it works for me. Even see a touch of dreamtime dot work on the amplifier!

David, Nice portrait shot.
I think I remember hearing that when the first Western settlers saw a "Kangaroo" they asked a Aborigine what was the name of the animal. But as the Aborigine didn't speak english his reply was really something like "I have no idea what you are saying" Phonetically "Kangaroo". Any truth to this?

Wondeful shot. Although Lea makes a valid point, I think the background figures add an interesting dimension. Certainly the focus is where it ought to be. The copyright is a bit more problematic. How big is big enough is the issue, I suppose. Regards, --George

Great angle, something different that I haven't seen from sydney. The lighting is great but I think a little longer would of brought out some details in the buildings. Keep up the good work.

A very cute baby with a nice smile. I like the close crop and the nice eyelights. Perhaps you should consider completely removing the distracting people in the background...easy to do with the clonning tool..., or at least burning them in a lot more, and also making the copyright sign less intrusive. With those distractions gone, you'd have a terrific casual portrait.

Sweet portrait with gorgeous lighting, has a nice glow, and the skin tones and colors are perfect. Looks like you had the exposure just right.
My only concern would be the angle combined with the position of her glasses...this angle would be fine in most situations, but causes her glasses to be really distracting from the quality of the portrait in this case. (unless it was deliberate....) Next time maybe either have your subject push their glasses up a bit farther, or shoot from a different angle. Overall though, its a very nice portrait.
