Dave this is so totally cool! As far as cropping, I agree with you...I like it just as it is. You did a great job with the light painting...looks nice and even. And I think the addition of your shadows adds to it...kinda creepy...the ONLY thing I might look to adjust is the telephone pole (which must have caught your flashlight as you approached). Maybe try to darken it near the bottom again, so that you don't notice it as much. Other than that, which really isn't even a "problem", the image is fantastic! Excellent job!

Hey Dave,
I'm glad you had a great time...too bad about the rain though. The rest of the week is supposed to dry up and be hot again. Can't wait to see your shots from the park!

This is a beautiful shot...even IF a bad "torm" was coming...great colors and contrasts of the dock, water, trees & sky. Lovely image Salvatore.

Very cool shot Dave...
So it looks like you've been living only at night lately...are you afraid of the sun now? ;)

Wonderful colors Gustavo! I like the "shadow" frame effect as well. Nice job!

Another beauty Shirley...I love the contrast here. Do you happen to remember your time exposure here? Just curious, because mine always seem to wash out or lose detail.

Shirley,
Wow...it must be great to have this "classic" view so close to home! This is beautiful! Great capture of colors and light with time exposure. Wonderful job!

Thanks Laurie. You know...I'm not quite sure the type of pine, but I'll do my best to find out and get back to you! I have not yet found another quite the same.

Hey Dave,
That's great to hear...I hope you have a good visit. The weather is looking to be pretty nice, so it'll be a great time to be out & about. This is up near Guanella Pass (between Grant & Georgetown-on 62 I believe). The river was really flowing nicely too...if you were interested in that area. :)

Arthur,
Thank you for your critique. I agree with your comment about the smoothness of the background...I'm still new to the digital world, so I'll work on it! :)

Thanks Martin. I hated to lose all the color from her suit and face, but it really made the image pop with just the lollipop in vivid color.

Hey thanks so much Martin...
You know, in my defense, I have to follow through...she didn't eat her lunch, so no snacks. That's the rule. I can't help it if she's just too darn cute to shoot, even when she's throwing a fit! ;)

How'd you know about the lens? That's exactly the one I got...you get the same thing?
So far, I can't say I'm thoroughly impressed...but I don't have a speedlight flash yet, so I'm sure that will make a difference.

Great idea with this image Gustavo! I would have never thought of this! I enjoy the color separations, and it's a fun picture. Nice capture...

Dave,
I had this one up earlier, and my husband LOVED it! He doesn't comment on many, but this one really stood out.
The soft pastel look is great, and I never would have imagined it that way. Composition is good too, but I don't like the little patch of grass at the left bottom corner (that's just me though). Great textures and patterns...it's a great image!

Creepy...good, but creepy. Definately wouldn't want this hanging next to my bed! :)
Great match with the poem though...nice work Dave.
I'll go back to my daisy now...thinking happy thoughts...kitties playing, scurrying around, a leaf just fell and hit the ground...
Okay, so I stink at poetry... ;)

This shot really stood out to me Shirley. Nice job with the glow...very serene or dream-like (a frequent I've seen of yours). Overall, very beautiful image. :)

Great shot here Dave! I love the purple hues, and the rich, dark blue sky! Good choice of angle as well...really makes the shot. So why 19 seconds? Any particular reason, or did you just take a "shot in the dark"...haha

This is a pleasant wedding image, and I'm sure the bride will like it, however for CC, I would have to say it's a bit busy. Since the couple is the focus, I would have changed the DOF so that they were sharp, and the foreground not...the candles just stand out too much, same with the foliage...
Of course, I see you have this in a "perspective" project, so maybe it was all intentional...
Nice capture of the moment though...
