No matter. this has not won a prize. I believe, it has everything worth winning an award. Solid velvetty effect due to the IR use, strong composition, excellent light and the long exposure. All work so well.

A really fantastic photo here. You should have won a prize for this. The tones, shadows and long exposure effect are wonderful. It looks like the rocks are breaking through the clouds.

I think I've had enough tornadoes, they are neat to see from a distance, but that is on the great plains where you can see them coming. In the hills it's not too fun to get surprised. I have to stop by and get some dry compression packs for the gear and a shell for the backpack. Could get wet. I like cloudy skies, but rain is not too fun sometimes.

Looks like there is some tornado action happening in Alberta...maybe you will be lucky enough to spot one,....from a distance of course.

The pattern is interesting. The lines make my eyes move throughout the picture and the transluscent yellow adds brightness and cheerfulness.

Yeah - there are two stages. First, I ran a program to generate a color pattern. The second image picks up the first image and particles inherit the colors from the background.
All of this is a custom program. I'm writing up a package for Jude.

Michael, this looks like a lot of fun with exceptional results. Not sure exactly what you are talking about except that it is done in some type of program. But did you start out with an image of your own? And if so, would love to see the original and compare it to the end result.
It almost sounds like you started off with a color wheel and ended up with this. I'll have to go check the web site you mentioned and see if I can understand a bit more. And I may be back to have you send me the program.
You are such the experimenter.
