Very nice picture. Kind of odd that another Steve would be posting a similar image at the same time. I really like the clarity of the image but I also like the reflection in the chrome. Nice job

I have no clue what that is, but I like the little star in the upper part almost in the center, makes it feel fun somehow.

Thank you both for the helpful comments. I have just begun using my horse as a subject and now I know I need to do a bit more research. I love the pictures taken by each of you. Thanks again for the comments. I will be watching your work!

Very nice horse shot - looks like a nice type and you've caught a lovely expression with pricked ears and nice light. The previous comment is right - he is croup high and it is important with horses, that the front end appears higher than the hind. In training the aim is to 'get the horse off the forehand with a nice high head carriage and engaged hindquarters' - so it is important to accentuate this photographically. A little of the left side could be cropped too to improve composition. On the way to a lovely lovely equine portrait.

Beautiful horse, but the angle of the shot makes his rear end look too high....I do have a few shots of horses myself, go take a look if you care too!!! I do like the detail in the eye of your picture...and the lighting is interesting too!!
