I really like the composition of this image, and the tones. Did you apply a filter or glow effect to this?

Hi Ian!
Thanks a lot for your comment... I really appreciate it... and to be honest there are times which I forget to look through my viewfinder all the details that you mentioned on your critique... sometimes I don't see the things that others do.

Hi Valentin, good photo. I think you have captured the moment very well. Your depth of field is absolutely spot on. I always look for the fine details on shots like these, and you have got the hair, eye lashes and eyebrows spot on, and such lovely skin detail. Ian Pearson.

hello lea!
you have no idea how thankful i am because of your critique, and now that i look at it again I agree 100% with you. and yes it's overexposed, i wasn't paying attention to the sky at the time of taking the picture... and the distracting effect is something i have been trying to do, I have seen photographs with a soft glow around the highlights which I am trying to capture on film, this is the closest i have been and indeed this is way too distracting i will try to reduce it next time. but i have no photoshop...just my camera and film

Vatentin, I am not an art critic, so I hope I don't offend you. According to your bio you want to learn, so I'm giving you MY opinion.
You have an interesting subject, with many photos in it. The view you have chosen has some major flaws...the biggest being that you have the column dead center, dividing the image in half. While the "rule of thirds" is not an unbreakable rule, in this image it would have increased the impact a lot. The white sky does nothing to enhance the image and I can't figure out if the image is overexposed or if you have gone overboard with the special effects. The effect around the tree on the right is particularly distracting.
I hope you get the opportunity to shoot this interesting fountain again. And I hope I have not offended you.

the image appears to be very blur.

there are two small pin hole reflection of lens reflecting off smooth glass.

the inset elements appears interesting.

th epicture could come out better if not for the aobve two glaring mistakes.
