I thought this photo was taken with a digital camera as usualy digial cameras have problems with red colour.
I did have probs with this a few times. Finaly found out that the best solution for this is to adjust aperture at least to f11. It helps to prevent red colour to look artificial as on the above photo.
On the other hand with aperture at f11 or higher (20 or so) it is not possible to achieve nice DOF.
But... maybe you have changed this shot in order it to look like that.

Wonderful flower and perfect executed, very rich colours and great contrast, splendid background and perfect captured, congrats, thanks for your kind comment to me, much appreciated!
P.s.: Answer to your recent question: used starfish tools for sun rays, changed colours into blue, than again changed into red colour tones, for this I used colour filters, add a bit contrast and clearing photo from distracting grain, than finally add a high lighting effect. This was just an experiment. I tried to shoot this indors, next to the window, without flash. I used dark blue blanket as a background. It turned black in the picture.

Yep! Your do have some cone flowers.. Beautiful Photograph Vesna, Great colors and clarity.
I personally would have cropped some of the yellow. It seems to distract from the cone flower.
