Hmm, I didn't know you could see sea turtles from there. This was actually the first time I saw the ocean. I live in Ohio, so Myrtle Beach is about a 12 hour drive. It was wild down there because I just happened to be there during spring break, but I'm sure it's not like that all the time. I'll probably go there again sometime.

Matthew,

We have been going there for years, usually during hurricane season near the beginning of September. We usually stay about halfway between the two piers. I think this is the one that has the little gift shop with the pictures of the fish you can catch. You can walk to the end and sometimes see big sea turtles off the end. That's right, they charge a dollar to go on the one near the amusement park.

I think this is the Springmaid Pier. I'm not sure, but it's the one that's free to go on. The other one is longer and you have to pay $1 to go on.

Matthew,
Nice time exposure, Is this the Springmaid Pier? (where they rent fishing equipment), Or the one near the amusement park?

great idea and very nice perspective and colors. The noise in the shot is a little harsh, imho. But really nice shot overall.

Thanks for the comment, I actually used a digital camera for this. This shot was taken with night mode and the previous shot was taken with P-mode. I usually shoot with film, but this was one of the only ones I got without window glare. I wish I could more acurately portray what it was like up there, I've seen so many cityscapes like this, but actually being there brought a whole new perspective to see all the lights move and twinkle, it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. If you ever go there, then go there at night or during sunset.
