Hoi Alain,

Jelle, congrats on your BIP. I think it is wonderful how the UseFilm members are helping each other - this is the proof ... you got yourself a BIP in the process, gained friends and experience.

You did really well :-))

Hi Jelle, I think this one is much stronger than the previous one. In both, the absence of the wires create a surprising touch, which takes the shot out of the ordinary. Maybe the contrast in the sky could be even further enhanced, with a slight vignetting, which would also emphasise the atmosphere (besides desolate, I'd also would like to add "abandonment"...) and tension. Excellent shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

This has a really desolate feeling about it. Makes me feel like I'm out in the middle of no where. Great atmosphere!

Hi Lukasz, thanks for your comment. I've tried your ideas and I'll post the new version as fast as I can. The red filter did realy help. I've moved the pole to the right now, althou my idea was to attempt to make it more interresing by breaking the rule... Now that I ve played with this new version a bit, I remember again why it is THE rule. It's much better.

I hope you'll comment my new version to.

Regards Jelle

nice subject to take a photo; however I would try another composition - maybe not so central; I would also remove this trees in the right corner; I also suggest to use red filter (or RGB in PS?) so the sky would look more dramatically

regards

he he, I have tried to take some pictures of my pet rat as well. Not the easiest task since they move around quit a lot . I really like you use of light here. The overexposed area to the left in contrast to the dark parts to teh right. In a way, this shot is really great. Dynamic and with a lot of motion. Sort of the spirit of a pet rat (Atleast mine were never still ). Once again though i think it is a tad to unsharp as we miss seing details of Flash. But keep on experimenting like this. Thsi type of experimets can render some really nice results.

The idea you have here is good Jelle. Soft focus. Maybe just a bit to soft though. I think that if you could increase the contrast, then you would have a nice abstract like picture.

Keep it up

Hi Jelle
Great macro! Love those furry bodies! I don't find the white parts distracting - that is part and parcel of the leave and Nature.

Well done.
