Nice job, I think the walk was worth lining up the two.

Excellent capture Dave. Well worth the walk. Great compostion and definitely one of the better rainbow shots I've seen. Take care.

Dave I love this, you have captured the spray and ripples of water so well. I also really like the shape made by the surfer, makes him look more 'alone' in his own little shell of water. What particularly catches my eye is the tints of green in the rich blue water. I do think maybe a bit of a crop of the left might bring the surfer more into the eyeline. There is so much water action going on on the right side but not much onthe left. I had a bit of play on it, cropped a bit, sharpened a bit and upped the green on the green bit, do hope you like

You have some nice pictures of NZ. It's always interesting to see how visitors react to our landscape. I live in Dunedin, if you have time you may see some familiar sites in my album. Regards John

Fleeing rider from the menacing waves !

Very nice action shot.

Bit more close up would make it even more appealing. You can perhaps try digital zooming in PS.

Regards,
ken.

Ottimo scatto, soprattutto per i riflessi nell'acqua! Non mi convince molto l'esposizione della persona però...

The range of tones is fantastic, a black and white lanscape at its best...the addition of people adds to the vastness of the mountains...thanks for sharing.

Dave, is this a recent image? I've never been up there in conditions like these, I bet it was fun. Black and white suits the image and you've got a nice strong contrast, especially with the lake and the sun on the left most face.

Very nice. Great tonal range and depth of field. The shapes in the windblown snow are great, and I like the landscape/action combination.
