Ah, yes, Mary. The sense of motion is there. Where my image fits under the heading "striding" your image is more like "shuffling". Limbo indeed.

the dreamy atmosphere is achieved by a slow speed (30 here)and a slight movement of the camera in the direction you want to achieve the effect, a 15 would make it more abstract but still distinguishable, an 8 would be an uneven surface, still interesting (the room was lit with electricity, in Meterora and I shot from a tiny window). the slower the speed the more distorted the image is.
