Wonderful contrast with the sky and the land, Jo. The boats add depth and distance, though the boats look a little childlike in size - you didn't plop them there?:)

It is very expressive but to be honest I think it does not enhance the image. You may wanna try 2 solid black bars and see what they do. I think more effective.
Keep experimenting, it is inspiring !
