Critiques From Bernard Shuford

There's a blur about the water that clashes somehow with the amazing sharpness of the rest of the photo. I'm betting that's exposure time and a tripod. Compositionally, the subject seems to be the rock in the water, but the amazing clarity of the steps and the rockwork below steals my eye. Great technical work, though!

I LIKE the style!!! Maybe just a touch too grainy for my taste. Good shot, though!

I like the angles and the shadows, too! Thanks for your comments on my photos.

I like this one, too, my friend. You've got a great eye for photography. I'm still working on mine! Nice shot.

The background and the odd pastel colors make this very real. Did she realize you were there?

I like it, and I really like the fact that it's NOT symmetrical. Great shot!

Somehow the trees seem to be a bit in the way. Beautiful subject though, and great exposure.

I really like the saturation on the windows in the background. Also a good idea for long exp!

Good grab of the moment, but I think the card kind of gets in the way of the photo. Just my opinion :-) Good shot.

This is a totally awesome shot. I like the lines / blotches concept. Excellent!

I liked the trick with the border better on the thumbnail than I did full size. This is a great shot, though. What if the ladybug had been more central on the leaves? I had to search to find it...

Something about me wants the fence to be in focus and the background more blurred. Maybe a larger f-stop and a faster shutter. Good originality.

Excellent work. I think I would like the sun to be just a bit further left.

I LOVE THIS SHOT! I really can't explain why, but I do. The only improvement I could thing of would be to change the shooting angle enough to clearly show the buildings instead of mixing them into the tree.
