What an unusual cat picture somehow, almost looks like a stuffed animal. Maybe the gaze or his long fur. You see more short haired cats than long. Funny thing he is doing with his mouth. Like the leaves too, adds a nice touch of color & detail to the whites. Interesting.

hi cathy - thank you for your comments! i know how you feel - my other border "jack" is terrified of the water, he is 12 years old and this is the first time he went in the water this far. it was a proud moment!!! i am approx. 100 yards away from him. he just looks terribly bewildered - can't go forward - can't go back! i had to go fetch him and lead him to shore, ha!

Such a lovely shot. This is a happy dog! Love the reflection of his nose. I can smell the damp fur. My labrador fell in the water as a young pup and is terrified. It is so sad because I know she is missing one of the great joys of a dog's life. I might show her this photograph! CC.

hi ted (and thank you everyone for your comments). i should have explained further...i was behind the shrubbery trying to photograph him and he was doing his border collie thing of back and forth behind the shurb and then he popped his head up in what looked like he was laughing at just how stupid i looked (and if you know borders - he probably WAS doing just that) - hence why the shrub is in the photo...he is such a cool dog!

a good shot of getting the dog's attention. I have border collies myself, and they are quite aware aren't they (side note: I am recuperating from surgery and my oldest dog Sasha won't leave my side)
