Your interpretation of this scene is glorious, John! Past 2 winters, I've stayed a few days in Cape May, but never managed to get up early enough to capture a sunset on the beach (or is it called "shore" on the east coast? ;-) ) You've inspired me though, with your many wonderful sunrise images - perhaps this winter I might work hard to get out of my warm bed early! :-)

Wow John, I've not been here in some time, and I see you haven't been here - today I came, and wow, what a do I find... such a marvelous butterfly image from you. Excellent work, my friend... I too, just uploaded a similar Swallowtail Butterfly... they were out in full force last weekend. By the way, I no longer live in California... moved to S.E. PA (upper Bucks Co) Jan 2010 and I must say it is sure pretty around here... lots of photo ops! Hope to see more from you in the future! :-)
