Thanks Chris. I went ahead and changed the title of the photo. I agree with you regarding more cropping at the bottom of the image. The 8x10 that I have in my living room is cropped tighter than this, and I love it.

I have always loved this memorial. I will have to correct you though, the memorial here is the World War One memorial. It is close the the World War Two memorial. It's such a shame about this one though, it has been neglected for many years and is in need of some restoration.
As for the technicial side of this, I would have cropped the bottom a little bit to give it a tighter feel. Overall a great composition.

That's really weird. I must really like this image. It just jumped out at me from the "random bar" and I looked at it. Turns out, I made the only other comment on it nearly a year ago.
I'm not sure if I still agree with my previous advise. It stands pretty well on its own.

Serial fillers.
OK, bad pun, I know. I like the repitition but it needs something more. The spot in the lower left is a good start -- maybe if it were bigger or something.

I might have moved things around a bit, moved the frame left and the cup up... empty space at top right is... empty, but that's personal preference. Grain and texture are really nice in this shot

luv it except one minor thing, the inside of the cup is too close tone and texture to the bench, which gives me the feeling the cup has no bottom... maybe that's a good point! got me thinking!

There is no visual theme except for the obvious. Nice attempt but maybe try just the rose and "a" piece of chocolate with a clean bite out of it with or without the calendar.
