I think the background is too distracting, and the subject doesn't really stand out of it. Also a little overexposure on his face maybe?

I agree with Sylvia re: a black border to contain the whole image and "deflect" your eyes back into the main POF. Otherwise, I think it's a beautiful, calming picture.

Nanette - thanks for the comment. To me though, the reflections are an integral part of what I like about the image. Also, it was taken at about 15th of a sec. hand-held and polarisers are tricky to use with rangefinder cameras!

i like this brian - just feels like it could be a bit tighter though maybe its the size but i want to know more about the people relating to the big picture.

I just added a new category called people to the category menu so leica users can now be content. I changed this photograph to that category I hope that is acceptable, if not you can always change it back.

Great picture of Brighton Pier. I like the figures on the beach and you have got a wonderful sky there. I see you used TriX - a film I used to use a lot until I started using HP5 and processing it in perceptol - must start using it again - like the tonality.

I'm not an expert at commenting on photography, but this does express alot of feeling. Like the feeling of excitement before a storm yet a feeling of peace when viewing. I also like the people sitting on the shore line.

Thanks Gary. Sorry - I should have added some explanatory text! He's a street entertainer in Covent Garden, London. He is completely white from head to toe (as is his bicycle) and he just stands there like a statue. I grabbed this shot because the two kids were taunting him.
