LOL! I like the "what to do next" pose of the fishermen..... Contemplating on how to get the freakin' dinghy into the water, staring over the horizon in dispair..... This photo tells its own story.... (or: what I make of it) Great composition and an excellent moment, Aida! Great shot, my compliments!

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Aida, thank you for your kind comment on my work. I have looked through your portfolio and you obviously have a good eye for design & composition. It's strange that you have no comments on this image.

I find this to be an image that does not give up it's secrets easily but worthy of investigation.

Is this just a statement exploring the spatial relationship between a piece of sculpture and a building or is it saying something about the relationship between the temporal and spiritual world? I belive in trying to make images that invoke some sort of response in the viewer. Even a negative response is better than none.

Regards John

PS The flags make a interesting statement on the relationship between Church & State.

Excellent shot...Im not a big fan of the huge border. I think it takes away from the fantastic photo. But thats just me. Great work!

I like the drama of the dark silhouettes in the foreground against the somehow somber darkening gold tones of the sky, with the bright orb of the sun glaring from above.

Aida: This rose is beautiful and nicely captured. I would like it better if some of the petals did not get cut off. There was so little left maybe just pull back a tad so the photo is complete. Like the lighting a lot...really enhances the rose itself.

Wonderful image! I'm very surprised you didn't receive more comments! Love the composition - what a great find! The lighting is perfect and I like the view through the jaggedy brick opening.
I read your bio. I wish I hadn't waited so long to go back to photography (when my youngest daughter graduated from h.s.). I really like a lot of things in your porfolio and will add you to my friends list - look forward to seeing what you have coming. Nice to meet you, Aida.

I like the contrast between the bright colorful human form and the stark muted tones of nature surrounding her. I think the composition might have been improved by placing her a bit more over to the right
