For some reason it reminds me of Patty Smith! The very dark but above all very restrained color palette together with the sodt focus generate an impression in my mind - something like looking behind a window while it's raining, or into a memory of something not quite understandable. The only partially seen face, especially the exclusion of the eyebrows add that kind of vagueness, as it makes it hard to say anything about a mood.

Interesting work! Keep it up!

Nick

I agree with Dirk; I'm surprised there aren't more comments on this shot. Beautiful moody, almost eerie feel, and I love the texture.

Again introspective under those thoughts that carry much doubt and question everything. From all the peculiarities of the human brain, the most strange is the ability to define the own self by questioning it. A definition in terms of itself, if you wish, and you managed excellently to put that strange thing on an image. The soft focus lets the recognition of the own image - the own self - become unsharp like some kind of cloud with no real boundaries.

Hat off again!

This could be the cover of a CD about... many things of modern times. I can't do different than to think about the introspective lyrics of Suzanne Vega - who am I - why I am I - what am I. The "unsharpness" of the photo fits so very well the "unsharpness" of the answers, which keep on changing as the time passes by, and which even on a distinct point of time do retain some amount of unpredictability.

I can't rate this image, Tom, simply because such images should better be not rated at all, as they stand in a special region of photography which has nothing to do with rating whatsoever.

Hat off!
