Very interesting composition and great idea to play with the reflections combined with the shadows.
Brilliant idea instead :) .
Also like the harmony braking glass at the bottom.

Compliments from Hungary

Yes i thought, dear Martin.
Just I could not find the correct wording in English :))))
Reflections are really great at the top. I have no problem with them on your pic.
But I recognized a special condition, what i would like to learn to handle. So do you have any idea or experience?
Greetings Radák

Hi Martin!

Great eye!!!
Interesting B&W.
Very nice back-light shot. Fantastic shadow, like an alien.

I am just wondering if Polar filter could help a bit. At the glasses.
I know it was an unrepeatable moment when were no time to deal with filters. Just asking If somebody had experience.

So i am sure the top reflections are removable with polar filters, but the Q is the right door area? Do you have any experience? If the reflection is because of incoming light can be also removed from inside. I have never tested.

Greetings from Pomáz

Very nice dear Ryca

Did You make a flashed verion also?
That would be interesting to compare.
The tree looks nice and interesting in the front.
Regarding the composition I would open the zoom a little bit.

Köszi a kommentet!
Hár igen azok voltak a szép idők. Máig is hiányolom azokat a micro-prizmás keresőket.

Dear Ryca,

Many thanks for your kind comment, I'm proud that I could caught your attention ).
I am fully agree with you it is not a perfect shot. But i like it ).

Any kind of technical advise is warmly welcomed.

I am not a photographer, just sometimes see something interesting, then run for my cam and try to do the best to record the original atmosphere, colors, shadows etc.
I am using the DxO just to eliminate the optic and sensor mistakes. Even not crop.

The longer story of the pics (very short series) I will upload + 1-2 more. Please be so kind and give advise me how could be better next time.

I really like your portraits!!!
And also like to do, and would like to learn.

So When I bought my D90 I wanted to use my father's old MF lenses. I did some tests in the bedroom.
My little son aproached me and started to ask about the cameras. How the SLR-s are working etc.
So we started to discuss and he started to test, and look closer to the devices. Then I recodnized the possibility to create some pic about him.
It is not easy with my family they are not like to be models.

It was afternoon, I had to switch the light on.
I did not want to demolish the miracle with searching battery (may recharging), installing of the Flash. I tried to do the best just with the camera.
We were lying on the big bed. I was fighting with the focus, sometimes the composition initiated me to be closer and closer to the subject, even closer than the minimal focus of the fix 50mm AF lens )

So I changed the max ISO to 1600.
Min shutter was 1/60 but the cam had to override it. The real was 1/20 as I remember from the metadata. Blende was 1.8.
EV 0.0
WB auto

Many thanks again, have nice weekend with lot of nice pics.
Kindest regards from Hungary
Radák
