Wow, this is crisp.

Instead of joining the 850,000 friends downtown, we're partaking of the local fireworks tonight in Waltham.

LOL! You know, we're 'wired' to recognize faces - what a great analogy for that.

Especially for a boy that grew up in West Texas. ;) We are celebrating 'different' here in New England this summer.

What I like the most is that you can't tell it was lit.

I like this soft light, Mark. Framing is good, expression is sweet. I think I might have added a second back-light camera right to light up her eye and back-light her hair.

I like the tight spot - adding allure to the bottom of the frame.

I'm doing well, Saad!
Enjoying the beautiful Spring weather in Boston.
The great news is that I am securing a studio downtown to start shooting more often!

Aw, thanks for the kind words of concern, David.
I have been really distracted, as my new year started with a BANG.

I accepted an invitation to become director of Marketing for a Boston company!

Mid January, Spam and I hit the road, and four days later, we arrived at our temporary apartment until my girl gets a job and then we can know where in the Boston area to plant our flag.

While the move, and settling in and getting my arms around this new company has been consuming most of my time, I *have* managed to work in a couple of shoots.

Now, this is just one-light location shooting, but you can see my raw images here:

My shoot in a vintage boutique:

My shoot amidst the stunning architecture of the MIT Media Lab:

I'd love it for you to leave comments or questions!

Again, thanks.

-Paul

This is wonderfully framed, but I think some HDR or lightening of the shadows would give your shot more depth.

Thanks, Graham. It was the sunrise camera left, and one 4' reflector about 15 feet away camera right. ;)
