Marian,
I am rolling film ten years now and just beginning to get nice results.
It is due to friends like you that I try harder.
Didn't see you in Mykonos :-(

Dear Pinar,

I am pleased that you commented me.
I think the merchant is a very special person. That's why I focus so insistively on him. I care for the human expression more than the fabulus decoration of his little store. The "Beyogly Cikolatasi store" looks so interesting because it reflects his persona.
There is no coloured version. So far I shoot black and white and develop myself. I love the grain. This particular image is so grainy because it is a cropped tiny particle of a 35mm negative.
The response from Turkish people to my Instanbul photos is much more exciting than this of Greeks to my Greek traveling photography. Maybe because Istanbul itself is as populated as the whole Greece :-)
I really want to visit again. My grandmather's family (she is 84 today) lived in Karakoy. They all had to come to Greece in 1921 (she was an infant). So I may have a little memory of the City in my DNA.

Sincerely,
Theodore Stamoulis

Good image. I think that croatia may resemble by some means to Greece.
I like the frame and the movement. I also like the information I get about another city.
I wish there was more interesting tonality (I am speaking to my self too).

Sincerely,
Theodore

Every single object in this image makes it interesting. Of course there are weak points aswell. You are at the stage that you care only about the image and you don't spent time about technique. Something like this would be fabu;us with medium format film.

Sincerely,
Theodore

Hi Davor,
Thank you for your comment.
In technique, I can notice simplicity in your frame that underlines the ambiance. A grat tonal range, that makes the textures stronger and good light.
In emotion, all these contribute to project a feeling of abandoned and nostalgy. Scenics like this often keep the photographers mind busy and they are nice to be shared with others.

Sincerely,
Theodore

He he! I agree with Lisa. I love street photography and people. Things go away and will not come back again. First is people and then the rest :-P
