Ah, the wisdom, the knowledge in those eyes. What the have seen and experienced. A treasure. Something to honor; someone to hold.

Hi Dave,
This photo, as well as all my 1967 Korea photos were taken by me while in the 7th Infantry Division stationed up by the DMZ between North and South Korea in 1967 and 1968. I had an old Argus C-3, 35mm camera which I bought at a pawn shop in San Francisco. The only color film that could be processed was Ektachrome. These photos are on 35mm slides. And of course, I wish I taken 1000 more. Many are deteriorating and some are lost forever. A moment of time captured and lost.
This was an everyday typical scene we encountered up by the Z.

Hi Dave,
What is not typical is the dog in the baby carriage on the right.

Hi Ana,
I agree that text on photos does the photo no justice but in this case (and probably the only time I will use text), it seemed the thing to do. The photo should speak for itself.

Hi Michele,
Calving refers to ice falling into the ocean at the edge of a glacier. The turquoise stone is actually ice. Snow falls; compacts; and over the centuries or milliniums compacts so densely that there is no air in the ice. It is the bluest blue nature has to offer in a non rock object.

Hi Hilton,
Thank you for the nice words. I like you photos as well. I have a friend from South Africa here in California. I see you like the sea as I do.

Jon,
I sadly agree. I was there in 1998 and it was a whole lot nicer then than now.

Hi Mike,
Long time no see. Nice view of the house I was born and raised in for the first 10 years of my life. Small world. My father built the house.

Thanks Anthony. Anthony is my middle name. I read your profile and for such a young guy, you seem to have it figured out. Good for you. Stay on course. Nice photos as well. Merry Christmas. This cross is on a bluff overlooking the sea just south of San Francisco and it is to a fisherman who never came home.

Hi Gayle,
I think having my photos with a tilt is ok. I guess you might say, " It's my slant on the world."

Hi Gayle,
Went for just a week with my girl and my daughter and son-in-law. I see you are very busy with your photography and doing such a great job. Very talented. Keep up the good work.

A most beautiful self-portrait. One wonders who has the sharpest claws. Shadow and light add a mystery to this portrait. Well done.

Hi Chris,
Well, yes and no. I had seen the heron in the water and moved around till it got up on some rocks and then I got as close as I could without it taking flight. As it was, I didn't get a second shot in this position since the heron was not static. Thanks for the input.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I wish I could have gotten more of the reflective image but as it was, I was sitting on a very wet rock next to the water to get this shot.

Hi Cheryl,
So you live in California. You speak of pollution so you must live in southern California (just a guess). And I see sunsets like this most every day (I live in northern California. Do you know about raindrops?
