Was this really in Edinburgh at Hogmanay? Didn't know we'd started putting on Viking-style festivities! Quite dramatic and photogenic I must say

THanks for your kind comments james, the long boat is a kinda new thing for Edinburgh, I think its really aimed at the tourist trade but makes spectacular viewing.
James I have been a admirer of your work for a long time now and have tried many times to comment on your work but I have had really bad problems adding comments. however here`s hoping this gets to you.
Keep snapping James
All the best Scott

Scott, this is great, what does the long boat stand for? It looks like some thing from Denmark.
Cheers, James

Scott nicely composed street leading into the scene) and wery well lighted picture (contrast of shadow, warm and cold light) that shows a romantic evening view of this city without being sweet, mainly due to the contrast in colour temperatures. This opens the pcture up for interpretations and incites phantasies and creating feelings by looking at it. good job, best regards jorg

Only it?s a pity for the quality, the previous version was better, but the beauty of the image is the same, HCB would be very happy of this shot. The photographers diagonal is fantastic and their poses are great, very funny, but what I like more is the lady?s expression, I can imaging what she?s thinking Finally the pigeon, innocent spectator of this scene, it really deserves the title. Bye Max

great shot, the combination of motion and static is perfect, but the clock being behind the guy checking his watch is really fine composing. Very well done.

nice. i like the blurry effect. i think i would've liked the guy looking at his watch blurred too. like also how you have the woman centered - she brings the picture together. the movement of the mother/child off to her left and the guy standing off to her right are all perfectly composed. almost like you told them what to do and where to stand.

A familiar spot; I walked past there several times today! The shutter speed is great; the mixture of moving people all blurred and still people is nice

Wow! Is there really such a landscape? Or was this heavily edited in PS? It's a great shot! Hard to imagine such a place exists. -James

Nice grab shot. Theres lots of space to the top left that a step to the right may have eased.
Well recorded all the same.
