They are grackels and they gather by the tens of thousands at sunset from october through december during their east to west migration. It's quite a sight when they all fly at the same time. This is just a small number of what typically passes over. Thanks for looking. h.

I have taken many picture of hay bails but none of them frosted. This is a very cool picture because the proportions are vague and the texture is excellent. I also like the wide angle cropping.

Most excellent photo. I am partial to blues and this one speeks to me. I also agree about the slight nit-pik...would have been nice to have the whole plant shadow. But love it regardless.

This is a wonderful pic. Normally, rusty chains, especially with a wood background are fairly flat. But the frost brings out contrast and texture, both of which I like. imho, I would lose the boarder as previously stated. It's a distraction that takes the focus away from the subject especially on closeups.

I agree about the phallic remark, with a note of castration anxiety (the con-trail). nicely exposed.

jezabel,
thank you for your comment, I really do appreciate it. I also went to review your portfolio and love your perspective. Eyes speak many words in silence and have a significant impact to mood and emotion in photographs. I believe that they are a window to your soul. Your eyes are deep, mysterious and very beautiful. Thank you for revealing some of your soul to us.

Wonderful abstract.
I see...
1-Marvin the Martian (looney tunes character)
2-Rorschach

btw, you are no relation to Bobby (waterboy) Boucher, are you ??
