Whan can I say.....a perfect capture. Just been looking through the 'highest rated' nature shots and can't believe that this is sitting at only 6.5.....hard to find better!

Simply Superb!
Not a new subject, but certainly a new and very imaginative way to shoot it.
Top Marks from my corner ;-)

Nice shot, well spotted and good composition, but I can't help but think that the lighting is a little flat for this to work as a B+W image.
It really needs to be a bit more contrasty to give it back the punch of the colour version.

Nicely caught, but I feel that a little less depth of field would have allowed the background to have been thrown a bit more out of focus and therefore be less distracting to the eye. The insect is superbly shary though.

Very nice shot, but I think it would have been more suited to a 'landscape' format rather than a square format.

Thanks for the feedback Kita. I think you'll find that the 'spots' that you see on the photo are actually water droplets being thrown off the ducks wings and I personally feel that they add to the whole 'motion' feeling.
If only I could upload a higher resolution shot it would probably be a lot clearer.

Yes Charlie - '4 seasons in one day' is probably just about normal for Scotland, especially in October and November!
Take care
