hey charlotte, love seeing shots from the drags, been on a crew since i was about 12. been to the U.S once, just to go to the finals at pomona - best racing seen to date.
these pics from IHRA or NHRA? just curious...

Hi Charlotte, the upload is on the small side, but from what I can see this looks like a great area for photography.
The sky looks good with nice blues and good puffy white clouds. A polarizer could have helped to increase the color saturation and darken the blues in the sky.
Also, you could have maybe found a portion of the island where there was more interest in the foreground, and maybe something taht leads your eye off into the distance?

Interesting pattern an a nice composition. Rectangular lights detract and there is no real focal point. Fade out to the left of the frame doesn't help.
