I kindly disagree. There is a soft foucs, yes, and a majority of the composition is blurred, yes. But that was done conscioslu with minimal DoF in mind. Best regards

Very nice compsition and colors, however why the frame is wrong? These flowers do hang, so the frame should 'stand' on the shorter side. Or was in intentional? Bets regards

Absilutely stunnig! Not only perfect colors and composition. In me it is a reminder of Chiba city from Gibson's city. Blue skies for corporations, and sprawl for people leaving on the edge of society.... Absolutely lovely. COngratulations!!!!

Yes, I agree that the exposure is a killer. However I had no choice at all - that was December 2003, and I was free to make some shots after the course - which ended at 7 pm.

Perfect composition, I like the way the kids are positioned. It plays an interesting counterpart to the blue sky above

Quite interesting. A bit too much sky for my taste, due to the fact that it is very light, but please do not treat is as a critique

Franz, not sure if you should now it. The artist's name is Mitoraj. Tha fce is about 3 meters high. The shot was taken during the time when his works were exposed at Warsaw's Old City. More shots to come soon

To be honest, I did nothing. No filter, no PS work, no PC work. Somehow it happened to the film itself. The other shots on the same roll came out without colors changed, therefore I cannot explain the effect.

Well,

I think it depends on your personal preferences. I remembered this scene the way it is shown on the photo. These are the colors I've spotted

Stefanos,

I was at the bank of Thames, with my tripod. I've done several shots fo the sunris (they are posted in my portfolio). I was wandering what would happen if I take a photo straight into the sun, which was already quite high. My first thought was that It would not work, because parts of the photo would be underlighted, but then I decided to give it a chance. I got the view I wanted, metered the light, and lightmeter was showing something like 1/750 secs.... However the closest to that I have on my Hartblei is 1/1000 sec. So I just made 1/1000 and make a picture. I was really surprised when I saw the effect on the developed film

I like the picture a lot. The contrast is simply excellent (as usual when using Scala films ) and I love the way you control DoF. Congrats, Tomasz

Tim,

yea a bit of a pity here. However, I think that it is somehow balnced. In a sense that a right hand open side, balances closely grouped trees on the left hand side. Tomasz

I like the expression on her face a lot. As well as the whole photo concept. One thing I would change, and that's a personal thing, is to cut off 1-1.5 cm from the top of the photo. This black part doesn't bring anything into the photo, IMHO. Best regards, Tomasz

Very nice and soothing composition - at least for me Probably because I come from a port town and I long for a seaside (living far away for a sea at the moment). I really admire your control of the light. Best regards - Tomasz
