Excellent shot, really good composition. the black and white helps to add drama to the already very dark silhouet. Well done!

Thanks Jim for your comment. I tried several frames from small to big to none. A dark frame didn't work, it had to be a cheerful picture and dark would set the mood to much. I now picked a color which is present in the picture to balance the frame with the picture. But not the brightest color as you can see. I picked a green color in between. And because the color is more related to the leaves in the middle, it pulls you in, in my opinion. But thanks for your comment, I will look if it still works when the color of the frame is less bright.

wow, this is really worth to get up early in the morning. I'm not so much of a morning person either, so good job! The sky looks excellent, really surreal colors and the silhouet of the tree looks so nice next to it, very nice contrast. A really good photo.

Very nice shot, almost surreal bright colors. The sky is excellent, very powerful, and good choice therefore to keep the horizon in this picture really low. The only problem I have is that the picture isn't really good in balance. I think it has to do with size difference between the two subjects on left en right. But well captured colors.

Excellent composition. The fog really puts the focus on the beach houses, and makes the noisy background dissappear. Composition and depth is great. Nice work.

Very powerful image, nicely the subject out of the centre and strong emotional appeal. The soft grayish tones really make this a superb image.

what a wonderful image. The angle from which it is taken is very original and the light coming through the players is great. The shadows on the floor and the foggy background really helps to stand out the people in this picture, it almost looks like they are floating on the background.

Such a powerful and dark image! The dark colors and the contrast work very well here in combination with the mirrored image in the flat surface of the water. Did u enhanced it with artistic filters, or did u simply add contrast? The circumstances seem faboulous to capturing this, the sky looks superb!

very nicely done, I had to look twice to really see how this picture was taken. The soft white tones fit excellent with the subject. and the grain grayish outlines work very good and help to stand out the darker hairs of the eye. Very well captured.

Nice sharp capture with some great blue tones in it. You may have to consider it to crop on the bottom, because it has no use putting half faces on a picture that is about the landscape I think. Also I miss a focus point on the left of the picture, now it has a feeling there is more, but we aren't able to see...

Nice view, and good composition. I miss the focus a little bit, could also be intentional, but maybe it would be better here because of the nice ripples in the water. Also because the dark trees make a really good contrast with the sky, which I prefer to be really hard in stead of off focus. Also a bit overdone on the framing I think.

Great subject, well composed and the colors look excellent. I like the subject being a bit out of the centre, and so giving it some space. The off centre is nicely balanced with the stone on the bottom of the picture. Very well chosen subject and nice that the tones are all alike. Well done!

very beautiful portrait, so sharp and so well composed! The lighting is excellent, and to give space on the side of the picture to where she is looking at is a good choice. Also the cloth is a nice contrast with the white and skin tones, and brings good color in the picture.

Unreal vision to play with the contrast between colored and black and white parts of the picture. Especially the capture of the person in the foreground looks unreal. But this mood about the picture is excellent. And for some reason helps to create the focus on the black and white in stead of the color. Well done!

ok, do u have also pictures from the azc's and are you going to post them here? I think the general view of the refugees has become negative in the last years. So it is good to hear and see from your point of view. By the way: are you still a refugee or have you got political asylum?

Very nice composition. THe silhouet makes it seem like one shape. The eiffel tower is always a great subject to photograph, i have tried it from different viewing points also. Because it is such a popular subject to photograph, an original viewpoint is hard to find. This picture is original I think.

Very nice picture, well exposed and great black and white tones. The subject of refugees is currently very popular in the dutch media, since the questioning of the popular dutch/somalic Ayaan Hirsi Ali. A fighter for human rights and a dutch member of parliament. The dutch debate about refugees is hardened in the last few years, so I am interested how you have captured their way of life, and if you take a politcal statement with your pictures. Regards, Marco.
