A more than deserved SC award with lots of tension in that endless perspective. The huge and so sudden difference between light and darkness raises tension to unbelievable degrees. The walking woman seems to be just a shadow with its own shadow on the road, and strangely enough she seems to be just stepping calmly toward the unavoidable, whatever that unavoidable might be. Much like knowing that neither enthusiasm nor despair could change a single thing.
The good details - and that under such a low light! - make this unreal scene look quite real, quite physical. So you tranferred a vision onto real world, which is equivalend to *making visible*. A main task of photography and all arts in general! The rich dark coloring remains so real, that one thinks to be the spectator not of the image but of the scene itself!
Very very powerful and very very exact photography!
